My power window were woking just fine until i turned of my car at the gas station and bought a drink. When i turned it back on both windows wouldn't go up. I know for a fact it's not the motors. they won't move at all or make any noise. I think it's a fuse? But is there even a fuse that is just for the power windows? I went to autozone and they said something about a relay but that they weren't sure because they couldn't find their tools.. I found the fuses but they're all glass. is there a way to test those?? and if it might a the relay where is it located?

You do not test glass fuses. You take them out and look at them. If the silver strip in the tube is interrupted, it is bad. Make sure the contacts are clean. When you re-install them, you may want to put a little dielectric grease on the ends to facilitate installation and removal.

The power windows also have a circuit breaker for the motor circuit- the fuse is for the control side. The breaker is mounted on the side of the support for the master cylinder under the hood. The relay is under the console.

K found out that my fuses were being burnt because i needed a circuit breaker 30 amp. I put the circuit breaker in 4 days ago but i still have problems. It will work just as did the fuse but now when i have the breaker in. It's like a surge goes through my car and it over heats. i can't touch it or anything. my radio dies out and my lights dim for like two seconds than are fine. after i turn off the car the breaker will cool off and i can use it again. It only does that when i have a fuse or the circuit breaker in the slot. Do you think the wires might not be grounded correctly??

Check the relay first, But we have seen the window motor wires going in to the doors break and short out. Ever time you open the door these wires bend back and forth and like any steel it will break at some point. Seeing this problem more & more.
