After the car gets to normal running temperature the idle seems to really fluctuate. Not sure where to start any ideas?

You might have a vacumn leak somewhere that when cold is sealing but as it warms up it starts leaking........or it might be your TPS (throttle position sensor) might be out or going out.....or your throttle body shaft on the butterflies may be worn....or...or.......someplace to start anyway.

:happy0045:you need to get a service manual for your year....it will give you good stuff for troubleshooting the system and how to fix it. NOTHING beats the service manual for a DIY'er !!!:smilielol5:

I had the same problem on my 93... it was a leak at the intake manifold.

ohmeter check your plug wires . you may have a bad wire as it will not show up initially upon startup. good luck

Did you find out what the idle problem was? I have the same issue and I was wondering what it was?

Thanks

If its like my 1986 and has the 9th injector on intake manifold (for cold startup)
It could be a bad fuel rail injector.
Mine idled great until the engine was warm and the computer turned off the 9th injector. then it surged. checked plugs some looked good, some were black, and some looked like they were brand new. I put in rebuilt injectors and its been great since.
