Is there any spot that is best to position the jack stands?

I place mine under the front and rear crossmembers..........

Tons of info on this subject all over this and every other board. Do a search that will tell you to use the cross members or the jacking puck areas.

I usually put them under each wheel, that way the tire really helps the car stick to the stands!

That link is very old, I jack the car up using the xmembers like they say and then I also use the xmembers for jackstands. Just jack the car up with your floor jack in the center of the xmember and then put a jackstand on each side of it and remove the floor jack. No need to even mess with the 4 points on the side of the car.
