Sorry I don't remember the name of the battery but it is half the size of say the normal batteries that most people use yet with the same cranking power. I am sure someone will know the name! lol

There are two companies making the smaller batteries. Odyessy and Braile both have a range of smaller batteries. I've been using an Odyessy 925 in my track car for two years now without any problems. If you go to a smaller battery don't forget to investigate the hold downs that are available for them. Your stock hold down is not going to work.

Damn!! That is tiny! I wouldn't think that it would give you the cranking power you need, but obviously it does!

Don,
He has a 2002 so he's going to need the side mount hold down.

Good point!
I believe you simply stand the battery up and use the HD925SM bracket.

The Optima battery weighs 33.1 Lbs, just 7.1 Lbs more than the Odyssey 925MJT.
It's a full feature battery and appears to be a better choice for the average user.
You could get rid of 7 Lbs by pumping 1.2 Gal less fuel, driving 30 miles, go on a diet, or throw out that 8 track tape collection. :smilielol5:

I thought that those were just for stereos and not for a car to run off of?

Braille actually does'nt make Batteries

Deka makes all their Batteries for them
and they just re-badge them

You'll save about $100 if you buy a deka batterie and you'll get exactly the same Batterie

I only paid $79 for mine and it's 6lbs lighter than the odessey and I have never had a problem with it even with cold weather starts

I am 100% satisfied

Are you kidding me? $1999.99 for a BATTERY? I'm sure it's a great battery, but at that price it had better last 75 years.

In my younger days I had cars that cost less than $2,000

In my younger days got a 69 Roadrunner that only needed a clutch for 135.00. Nothing else wrong with it.

I didn't think that they were that good, thought I read somewhere that they tended to die quickly.

I would think that they would not be able to crank as much.

Small batteries. I use two of them in my hearing aids. They should last around 300 hours or untill you start saying "what did you say" a lot. I really think I can blame Ft. Sill for this problem. Is there a statue of limitations on this? HEY, do you want to sell me the roadrunner? I'll give you 2 hunnert. :wheelchair::Banane08:
