My first vette. Someone help.. I bought this on a deal, trailered it home, and took it for a test drive. It starts off good(engine running strong) and as soon as it shifts into second gear the whole car brakes HARRRRD until it slows to about 15mph and shifts back into first gear.. Everything seems fine before it shifts. The car sat for two years in a garage before I bought it so I was thinking the clutches in the tranny are stuck. The guy I bought it from thought it was the brakes and changed all calipers, pads, and rotors but it didn't fix the problem.. Anyone have an idea. Thanks for any kind of feedback.

Yeah dude hate to say it but sounds like the tranny. but you mite be able to fix it with it in the car if you find a good trans. man.

may sound basic but check fluid (level and smell it should be red and not snell burndt. gerry
