I usually hand polish them and after throw on a coat of wax. This has always worked for me.

Pick up a can of "Brasso" metal polish, cleans, shines and adds some protection.

:iagree: That ball attached to a high speed 3/8" drill will clean your exhaust with in minutes!

Thanks for the tips guys, I found that Ball and got some chrome cleaner and hooked it up to my cordless drill. Man what use to take 20 - 30 minutes to clean only takes 5 minutes and a better job has been done! New trick to add to the play book!

One other polish you might want to try comes in a small blue can about the size of a tennis ball, the polish is blue also. This is what I use and this stuff works great!

Are you talking inside too? I've never under stood the point of polishing the inside of an exhaust tip, but nothing I've ever had has had enough exhaust for a tip to make sense anyway, always the first thing gone about 1/2 to a 1/4 way from the rear of it, trucks stops about 18" before the axle, VW Fox had no muffler and my K5 Blazer's exhaust I dont think even made it passed the doors, it was an almost blown 305, basically a boat anchor, but sounded DAMN MEAN with no cat or muffler and a 2.5" into 3" y-pipe.
