: Noise coming from front of 1985 Vette? Zone Killer 01-23-2008, 10:17 AM I've got this annoying sound coming from the front end of my 1985 Vette, it happens when I hit any sort of bump or I go over speed bumps. A friend was saying its the bushings that need to be replaced or shocks? Anyone have similar problems that found the cause? Thanks Disturbed 01-23-2008, 10:55 AM Yup, my shocks are also shot. Then front end bounces and goes squeek squak everytime i go over a dip in the road or a speedbump. narravette 01-23-2008, 02:52 PM Mine only makes the noise on bumps when it's cold. After a couple of miles, it stops. Shocks seem to be good. Haven't checked bushings, but have only 42000 miles! Zone Killer 01-24-2008, 07:24 AM I think this weekend I'm going to jack this thing up and take a peek, mine doesn't stop making the noise regardless, everytime I hit a bump off they go! The bushings are straight forward replacement right? I believe the shocks are also? | |
