I've been told 190 to 200 is about average.

I do have a temp gauge, it was creeping over 206 and then it drops rather quickly then few minutes later could be high again? I think I need to check the fluid level (where can you check and add tranny fluid?)

If its going up and down could it be the temp gauge failing?
