:wtf: I have to pump the gas to get it to start. Ive replaced the computer, M.A.F., Cleaned the throttle body, Plugs, Wires, Cap, Rotor, Coil, Engine temp sensor, collant temp sensor, Fuel pump, Fuel filter, removed the pre-cats'. The onlything that seems to have helped is when I had the exhaust lines cut off when I was removing the Pre-cats, the vette fired right over without a problem. I have Magnaflow cans on the car. Do you think the mufflers are causing too much back pressure or possibly the main cat? I'm so corn-fused. I am planing to replace the main cat in a couple weeks, but I would rather spend the $190 on new carpet or other toys for the vette if I can. Has anyone else had the same problem or know how to fix it??

Help!!![/I][/I]

Does it cough and stumble or just turns over normal without actually starting?

When you get it running does it feel really sluggish? Weak acceleration? Any other symptoms?

I talked to the Guru and he tells me that you need to check your throttle position sensor for a dead spot and drive the car around the block a couple times with the back half exhaust off to check for a stoppage.

New tps already. I know the cat is almost clogged. When I had it cut off for the pre cats it started faster than any other car ive ever had. just wondering if it might be anything else also.

Its probably the cat. I would check the tps with a volt meter too just to be sure. I have gotten a couple tps sensors bad out of the parts house. Heard you were in georgia, didnt think you'd have to smog a car there.

Depending where you are. the county im in is the richest in georgia for speeding tickets. so as you can tell they milk the public for as much as they can. My supervisor 3 countys to the west has no emissions check. It sucks.

:( bummer. I live in southern california where smog is like gestapo and cops will write you tickets if your car has mods of almost any type. I'm military though I have a nice loophole to exploit and register all my cars in MS which doest require it. I'm from the back woods where there are no police, so ive kinda been spoiled. If I had to live here permantly I would move, because the state is pretty much anti car.

UPDATE!!!!! Ok, I got the Main cat replaced and fixed all the exhaust leaks. Advanced the timing a bit and it almost starts right. Still having problems with it.
