:soapbox: Oh Man, I hope someone can help me out. Last night Im warming up my 86 coupe, getting ready to head home from work. As always I turn the lights on and take a walk around. To my Surprise! NO TAIL LIGHTS. My center brake lamp works, my signals work, Also with the 4 way flashers on, all bulbs light up. I found the fuse totally melted out. Everytime I put a fuse in it, the fuse would pop as soon as I turned on the power. Can someone help a fellow vette owner out! Oxon Hill Maryland:patriot:

It appears you have the arduous task of hunting down the short in the tail light circuit. It usually is just a matter of starting at one end and working your way to the other. Electrical systems can be a real pain.

The first place I would check is the connections at the tail light itself and the back of the fuse block. Im sure you already have but double check and make sure you are installing the proper amperage fuse.
