Did it come in through the mail? Stealing mail is a federal crime, a felony, and carries a minimum penalty of 2 years! Aside from what the intake was worth, this is a BIG deal. Hope they catch whoever did it....

I have an idea on who may have stole it.But not 100% sure.So I would never do anything unless I was 100% and sure wouldn't tell anyone if I did

The person who stold it probably has no idea what it is or what its for.Its probably in a dumpster somewhere.But just in case I am going to keep my eye on ebay and see if it shows up there

Watch the auction site, unless the thief has a vette and somehow knew it was vette parts he needs to unload them, be a citizen detective and get the bastard.

It seem that this is a favorite method of this person. Why dont you set a trap by placing a similar package on the porch and seing who wants it. :catfight:
Once you find this person you cant really do anything but you could find out and stop them from further incidents.:thumbsup:

Hi and sorry to here that. Im involved in the shpping business and always use a signed receipt slip. This happens all the time with UPS, If you dont ask for one they just drop it on the front step, Your only recouse is to try to get the sender responsible for not giving you the option. It is better to go and pick it up from the delivery notice.

Neighbors didn't see anyone.I talked to the post office, from now on they won't be delivering any packages to my house.I will have to go pick them up.
I bought another vararam ,its supposed to be here on monday,UPS. So my neighbor said they would watch for it.
I am keeping my eyes open on ebay and craigslist for it.I am also going to look in the suspected neighbors garage for any cardboard boxes with my name on it.

I had just signed for a complete detailing package including a dual head buffer - put it on our insdie inclosed porch while I went to pick up my newly purchased vette. Got home and was going to detail it to hell - everything had been stolen - my wife had signed for the package so UPS wouldn't cover it and our deductable is to high to comer it. Talk abut being a little off the wall.

I'd set up a dummy package and see what happens. Any neighbors you don't get along with?

I am quite sure I know who did it.I did inform him of the situation ,the value of the packages,and that its a federal offense. Looked like a deer in headlights.Also told the officer of my suspicions.The neighbor is a out of work,alcoholic,drug abuser,child neglecting POS.How he can afford to still live in this neighborhood blows my mind

I thougt about the dummy package idea.But I questioned the guy about it and so did the Police.So I believe he wouldn't attempt it again.The guy seemed worried.So for now I leave my outside lights on all nite and am looking into getting a security cam.
