What makes one battery better than another? Why is it that when shopping around for battery you can find a battery for $70 then a different batter for over $200??? Whats going on here?

The money you spend for it! :smack: I believe it has something to do with cranking power.

Some batteries are acid filled which can leak, others are gel filled & will not leak. Foe example the Optima red or yellow top batteries are gel filled, will not leak acid and naturally more expensive. I have the Optima red top in my vette.

right, I myself like the optima batteries, and they are my best sellers, and also in my cars. The reason I like them soo much is because of their great cranking power when its cold out, and best of all they do not leak like acid filled batteries, that can get all over your engine compartment. You can mount them any way you want, including upside down. The optima red top battery is def my favorite battery to sell and own.

I like the Optima's also however I have recently switched over to the Odessey dry cell battery that one of my friends suggested and I love it. A little more expensive than the Optima but it has no liquids or gels inside and the cranking power is out of this world!!
