I was thinking about doing 20" wheels all around. Will I run into any problems with the cars computer?

Might try posting this question in the C6 section, instead of the C5 section.
But, to answer your question, no they don't HAVE to be staggered. You just need to have the right amount of tire height difference so the TC system doesn't go nuts.

i would say that 20's up front would look BLAH!

Your car's computers really can't know (or care) what size wheels are on the vehicle; all that matters is that you keep the diameters of the tires within +-3% of your factoy sizes. If you run the same size wheels all around then you will just have to have a taller sidewall on the back, that's all. I myself run 18s front and back...

Now, you probably know this already, but there will be a noticeable performance LOSS by going to 20s all around... Your tire selection will be very limited and the added mass in each corner will hurt acceleration, braking and handling.

If 20's are in the rear, I think 19's in the front look the best.

I've been told to upgrade my 02 ragtop from stock wheels to 19" Rear 18" front. Will I notice a difference in the ride?

20's all around is not a problem as long as you run the right tire sizes to keep the overall rolling diameter to the same messurements or very close to your stock wheels and tires.

If you need help with the details of this information we can offer you multiple options for your 20/20 setup.

ahhh, that is why my buddy with the C6 is having trouble, he must have the wrong size tires.

The computer focuses on rear wheel rolling diameter, That's what determines speed, etc in relation to gearing - front size is irrevelevant here, but can really affect handling, braking balance and other safety issues. I'd say keep the fronts 1" smaller than whatever rears you run.

Yes, you can go with 20s all the way around.

It'll be fine. Performance will go down a little but if that doesn't bother you, thats fine. So what wheels are you planning on going with?

They just look better when they are staggered.
