I turned on the wipers the other day and a black strip of rubber came flying off. At the bottom of the windshield, just below where the wiper blades rest on the windshield, there is a seal and I assume that the part that came off was the part of the seal that rested on the windshield. Mine is a '98 convertible and and probably deteriorated over time. The seal is a common part for all C-5s and cheap enough. My question is this can this seal be squeezed in without the windshield being removed or does the windshield have to come out?
