Again, I'm a new Vette owner, so here's my next question: why doe's my Vette seem to choke out close to the Factory redline when it clearly has MUCH more to go? Is this an Electronic setting issue or a performance issue? I have driven my 04 ZO6 easy but getting on it yields some pathetic cut off rpm's? The motor certainly has MUCH more to give but craps out prematurely, am I alone on this one? Can anyone offer a solution? Much appreciated! Red Horse

What RPMs is it cutting out at?

seems about 1000 rpm before red line; gear to gear? Second gear seems to die early on the rpm scale...Like a dying dog actually...cuts right out. Starts to sputter and shake, not the performance level that this car should show. Well below the acceptable norm.

Try putting it into Competition Mode and see if it helps.

Hi Corvette Don, I've done this too, and it has helped but the engine doe's NOT rev as high as it should, in my opinion. Question: Would a Flash Programer change the shift points/rpms on a Manual Trans. car? I'm new and learning here! Any help is really apreciated! Thank you! Red Horse

I don't believe a programmer can change the shift points on a manual

First, go out and tighten all the clamps on your air intake. Especially those after the MAF. While you're there make sure there are no cracks in any of the intake sections. Been there, done that, got the T shirt.

I would take it to a tuner, let them either rich it up or thin it down in the upper RPM range.

Other than checking your plugs, I would take it to a tuner and let him plug in his comp and see whats going on at that RPM range.
