My rear tyres are 285 and if I convert that to inches it is 11". It sits very well on the rim and does not hang over on the sides.
So that means I have 11" rims?

Tire section (285 ) is always wider than recommended rim size.

So what is the widest then?

I found a rim to tyre converter on the web.
So one can go to 315x17 but then 50 profile.
I wonder would a 50 pofile[height] touch the body sides?

Factory rims for your year are 9.5" at all four corners. Factory tire size 275/40/17 all the way around. You can go 285/40 on the 9.5 rims, but that is the largest that will fit properly and wear correctly. If you really want 315/35/17 you have to go to 11" rims. Got it???
