I do just about everything on my vette. The only thing that I will not do in differential work. I am just not that confident to go there so I will let the pro's take care of any problems that I may have in that region!

I do almost everything I can to my vette. Bought the Service Manuals that can show you every detail needed. I will not touch trany or rear end issues. Most problems can be resolved thru the on board computers and the codes that the computers display for you. You also need a little mechanical knowledge and common sense and do not be afraid to ask questions

It's like an Internet Library of all maintenance manuals... You join it and have access the site, I'm not sure on the specifics though.

same here, I do everything except tuning on mine as well. I haven't found a mechanic I can trust that has been worth the astronomical amounts of money they want to charge to work on my car.

I love working on my car. On weekends I will sit in garage thinking of what I could do, most cases I'm restricted on $$ :( On those days I will just clean the car again!

I have been known to work on my cars, when its beyond my scope of understanding either come to a forum for help or have it professionally worked on.

I don't know if they make it for C4's but this weekend after buying one of those preditor deals, tuned my C5. Pretty straight forward and I think (no sure yet) it added some power. It did so far solve the issue of my car stalling in the mornings. :)

We all started that way. Taking it apart and putting it back together is the best way to learn.

lol. Only if you let me fix the real problem with them(HVAC/smog) in the process. I keep forgetting how hard this stuff is if it isnt retrofitted for easy maintenance.

Heres the vette engine after deleting the HVAC/Smog/Cruise. Much easier. not very female friendly tho. "wheres the heater?" :thud:
