Has any one traveled this streatch of highway lately? I have been told that it is too rough to travel in a corvette. Would like to hear from you if you know. I am a new member going to car show at Eureka Springs. :patriot:

Never been there, sorry! I would go on another route if it is true though.

As I remember, didnt you post this in the Travel Forum? Capt. Nemo answered you about this area of road. Two posts and asks a question, but never comes back to check out the threads started. :thud:

Well....I lived in Chattanooga, and when I go back home (I am in Bentonville AR now), I travel 40E to Memphis then jump on 72...thru your neck of the woods. 40 is HORRIBLE if you have lowered your car....like I have, but in a car that has not been lowered, it is not too bad. It is the fastest way here....I am about 40 miles from Eureka Spgs. Just take it easy, and you will be ok. Good luck, I may see you there!!!! It is a fun show, you will enjoy it, and the little town has a lot for the wives to do.

I have traveled it before, been awhile, but there was some of the road in OKLA that was pretty bumpy

The road is not the best. Ive driven it several times, and will do so again. Kinda like most of the roads in the area.

I agree with previous post. If vette is lowered be cautious there are stretches that have uneven lanes and some holes. I took this back to Oklahoma from Tennessee this past August. I think you'll be fine.
