Guys! Just bought my first vette. 2006 C6. Has longtubes, high flow cats welded in, Corsa exhaust and a cold air. This is an Automatic car. I have ZERO experience with vettes. Mostly mustang stuff so I am familar with the SCT stuff and how tuners work. Problem is I have a MIL on because of the exhaust. The guy never had the car tuned in any way. Now I know that you can turn off the rear o2's for this reason but I also know if you do you wont pass an OBD code scan for a state emissions inspection. What is my answer here guys? MIL eliminators for the 02's?? I desperately need my tag!! Also, WHAT are you guys using to tune these things? Handheld tuners? I know its a noob question to throw in at the end but I dont care to discuss it in this thread too. Thanks guys! Happy to join!

thanks man! I heard about them through my searching. i am coming from an S197 Mustang so with mods this simple I can pretty much just buy a pre-loaded tuner after giving them a mods list. I just didn't wanna get over my head with the HP tuner stuff.

If you can get the light out long enough to get it tested, clear all the codes and go straight over for the test before it records any history.
When they see no history they will not be able to use their scanner, and will do a tail pipe test instead.
If you don't have cats installed you're SOL.
I discovered this after installing an O2 sensor, wiping my codes, and going straight over for the test.
When the asked, I told them I just had the car repaired and that's when they did an old fasioned tailpipe test.
