what is wrong with us? c3 lovers, well we can afford themn but what a pig. speedomoter on my 1981 reads 80mph it is not hard to get upside down on these, ya know 200 horses aint gone do it. have a 375 HP beautyn guess what no 3rd gear rubbern cause got a 307 rear end, ouch; I mean it do the other members giggle when they read our posts. THe cars look like batmobiles, but I have a head turner only 25Gs investment, am r finishing a restore for 2nd time, oh yea it runs hot also.220 degrees well dance with the one that brings you. could be worse

i kinda like the batmobile myself. and i cant tell you how many times i have come out of a store and found someone taking pictures of my car with their cell phone. no ones giggling at my car,as for speedometer, mine goes to 160 and so will my car and it never runs hot

didnt mean to overreact, but dont insult the C3s. mine is 81 also but far from the way it came, 383stroker/500hp , wouldnt trade for anything, hope you feel that way about yours someday

I love them all , what rear end ratio makes you match the power, sometimes a good set up out performs bone crushing horsepower, (ie drive train set up is critical) Have you adressed this issue or you have a 355 or 307 chunk; like em scary fast. Art

dana 3.31 gears, built by Duntov Motors in dallas, installing 700R4hd trans next week from Monster trans, motor is from Patriot Perfornance, with the lower 1st gear and 2500 stall , well you do the math

sounds real nice, gonna do something about my chunk ratio; 307 looking to rebuild and maybe try for the 355 ratio, did you take all the rotten rubber bushings out from underneath, I upgraded to polyurathene, my bushings were shot, this really helped. afraid to pull a hole shot though. keep me posted will eventually be smart enough to post some pictures, think mine might be best in Memphis;

mine had frame off restore in 2001 so everything underneath is still like new very few miles when i bought it . w/new motor holeshots are wild. i had 3.55 s in my 79 , worked pretty well, still hiway friendly
