1979L-82 09-11-2009, 11:57 AM I have just figured out my radio problem with my power antenna, someone had cut it...:loser: .... but my problem now is the motor will not stop running and the antenna is not moving what so ever..what should I do? It is the am/fm/cb option and I have seen the repair kit but only for non-CB antennas....HELP! Get a new power ribbon, follow the instructions for replacing it, and all will be well again. I've fixed 3 antennas by replacing the ribbon. Easier and cheaper than buying a new antenna. Just make sure you get the same size mast as the original is. If you need to keep the original mast because of the CB option, then you'll need to remove the motor, take the old ribbon out, measure it, and get a replacement of the same length. :thumbsup: 1979L-82 09-28-2009, 02:16 PM thanks, it worked; I'm glad thats all it was would have been hard to find an antenna:goodpost: | |
