I got the car started but it still runs rough so I have been tuning it up. :cheers: SportsCarsUnlimited 03-26-2008, 03:22 PM You don't have to remove the tank to clean it, Just remove the fuel pump/sending unit assembly, the hole left in the top of the tank is plenty big to clean out your tank, These tanks have a plastic liner so rust is not a problem just a good cleaning with soap and hot water, If you still need to remove the tank just remove the fuel pump/sending unit, bumper cover, bumper, spare tire holder and the two straps holding the tank in place, There are also two safety straps that hold the tank in the car if your in bad accident these must also be removed.
