Every time I'm at the auto store I walk near the box for Rain X? And keep thinking it can't work? You know, now I'm curious and wanted to see if anyone has used this stuff and thinks it legit?

At the very least...your wipers will work better!

RainX definetly works. We use it on racecars with Lexan windows to help get rid of condensation.

LOL, hearing this, I'm going to have to try this out. Now the whole purpose of Rain X is to do what? Not need wind shield wipers or just keep the rain clear of window between wiper swipes?

Never used it but after reading all this, next time in auto store going to pick up bottle. Now is the whole idea of this, not to have to use your wipers? Or do you still use your windshield wipers?

I like to use Klasse All-In-One on glass. It lasts so much longer then Rain-X and works better IMO. It's also great on other surfaces besides glass.

what rain-x does is it actually acts as a wax for your window. It fills in all the minor, dare I say, Imperfections, In the glass of our beloved corvette's. In doing so, the water does not have as many ridges to catch on. Yes I know its a wierd concept but water does stick. It is called surface tention, the water will fill in the scratches on your window and begin to stick to itself untill the bead becomes so large that it must break off. That my friend, is what rain-x does. It prevents water from sticking.

I've been in some pretty heavy downpours without using my wipers with it in my van. It depends on the rake of your windshield and the speed you're traveling, I hardly ever used the wipers in my 77 using Rain-X.

I also use the windshield washer fluid with it in it, it really cuts down on how often you have to re-apply it. I wax all the other glass (including the side mirrors) on my vehicles and only Rain-X the windshield.

It doesn't cause wiper chatter or leave a ton of little water dropplets behind like regular wax does?

I may have to try that! Thanx!

Whats funny is Rain X was put into my stocking stuffer at work last year and I have been using it ever since. I like it, I didn't use it till nearly month or so after I received it, now it is used on all my cars.

RainX does work. When applied right you get waaaaay better visibility vs wipers. I removed my wipers/gearbox on my car cause you just dont need them with rainx. Synthetic oil works too :smack:
dont forget to reinstall your oil pressure switch!

Rain-x works great on all the windows and in some cases eliminates the need for wipers...the more sloped the windshield is like on a Vette, the more the water just rolls off. Works great on helmet visors too.

Klasse All-In-One is not a wax. It's an acrylic product. It sheets the water right off the glass and other surfaces.

I just cleaned my Z06 up today. Wash, clay bar, wax, vacuum and rain-x. I have been using Rain-X for as long as I can remember. I find it easier to apply it in the shade and do all the windows at one time. Then come back and wipe them down with a slightly damp rag to even every thing out.
