I just got the air bridge.. Very impressed! Its an original GM piece that has had all the textured surfaces smoothed and then chrome plated. Quality is exceptional to say the least. I'm happy!

I ran across Chris a few months back and he offered to do some interior bezels for me, now his website has gone down and he had listed things on e-bay but is no longer a registered user. I reversed my pmnt. through Pay-Pal and recovered my $$. I'de avoid him, IMO he's a scam. Customautochrome was his last on-line site.

Shortly after my post I recieved a call from Chris and he straightened me out about the lenghthy process involved to chrome plate plastic. He assured me that all orders are in the works. He's going through growing pains trying to get better established. MY appologies to Vettechrome.com

I haven't had a whole lot of luck with chromed plastic. I have an '08 Yukon and the chrome is separating from the door handle. I have had the chrome bubble on several grilles after a few years. I think these were all plastic parts. Any comments?

I'm pretty sure OEM chromed plastic is done by a process called vacuum metalizing. The companies mentioned in this post are actually triple chrome plating plastic as you would do metal. Much more durable finish and quality IMO. It's pretty costly but well worth it. I've recently been dealing with www.vettechrome.com and their rates are 3.00/ sq. in. Some shops I found during my search were as high as 5-6.00/ sq. in. Pretty expensive!
