: How do you park your C4?
85L98-84L83 09-04-2009, 08:47 AM I usually par in a spot a little bit away from the other cars. Some guys park their vettes way out there. I went to costco with the family truckster and I saw a guy parking some fancy high priced porsche with the fancy body moldings, I'm not much up on porsches but I waited until he park away from everybody and I pulled in right beside him and the kids pile out and he was freaking out and his women was telling him to stop and after we parked and got a shopping cart I looked back and he moved his car further away. He was a little hardcore.
toobroketoretire 09-04-2009, 10:05 AM I always park WAY out there, and even then I park next to an island. That lessens my chances of getting a door ding by 50%. My '82 is now 27 years old and I don't have a single mark on the sides of my car. I'm a fanatic about protecting my 'Vette from damage from others.
slrvette 09-04-2009, 10:27 AM usually pull into a spot or garage slowly. Carefully apply the brake until the car completely stops. Then take it out of gear and turn off the ignition.

You could help me out on how to convince the wife to pose for pics on my crappy vettes. She was a dancer(stripper) years ago, but now she is some kind of a prude.

Thats why you don't have your wife pose for pics!

She is actually a really nice piece of @$$. but she is to scared to pose showing here face, her brother drives a C3, so he might be sniffing around here. She would probably get kicked out of the family.
96C44Life 09-04-2009, 04:19 PM I park as far out as I can...assuming nobody is in my spot. Also park next to curbs or striped lines...if I'm forced to park next to people at college campus...I park with only one car next to me.

Sure she didn't get kicked out when she married you...
To answer your original question...I park as far as I can away from other people.

Maybe thats why she hasn't moved back yet. They must have changed the locks.
Sword 09-07-2009, 03:01 AM Lately I park my C4 in my trailer. I'm even more hardcore then the guy with the Porsche. I usually don't even park my nice cars in a parking lot. Most people don't car about other people's property. A parking lot is a good place to get your car dinged up.

Big Ed 09-07-2009, 04:22 AM I keep my 2 corvette's in the garage and take my Mini Cooper S to stores & resturants.
I got into a confrontation with a guy at a car show of all places. He thought it was alright to let his kids climb on my '66 roadster.
He told me he'd like to push my face in, and I responded that he should take his best shot because he wouldn't leave the place on his own two feet.
Smith & Wesson is like American Express: Never leave home without it!
Another little story I have goes way back in time to when my brother-in-law Rick had just got out of the Marine Corps. He had ordered & just received a new '69 Camaro with all the bells & whisles, and wanted me to ride along with him to the local discount store where he needed to pickup something.
He parked as far as you could go to park with nobody around him for yards. We had no sooner left the Camaro when a woman pulls in beside him on the passenger side, throws the door open, and puts a nice ding in his door.
We ran back to the car, and Rick starts shouting at this woman, who responds with the statement "that's why you have insurance!". Rick throws open his trunk, grabs his tire iron and takes several Marine Corps type swings on her trunk lid with the statement, "No lady, that's what YOU need insurance for!"
We got back in the Camaro and left. We never did get into that store, and I learned right there & then you don't mess with anyone who'd been to Vietnam & the seige of Kay Song.
96C44Life 09-07-2009, 07:33 AM Awesome story....I hate that people are like that. Never F*** with a Marine:patriot: :patriot:
95vetteguy 09-07-2009, 10:01 AM I am so hardcore about mine, if we go to a restaurant or something, I make sure I can see it from were I am sitting. I've had to many people like the the guy with the family truckster, park next to me.
