Winter months are getting closer, my garage isn't heated, and I would like to keep the engine oil circulated during the colder winter months with out having to start the car. Idea is to crank it around a few times to get the oil all over then fire it up. Can this be done? If so the how part would be appreciated.
Thanks everyone

Hold the gas to the floor; that enables "clear flood" mode and disables the injectors.

Pull the fuses for the injectors out

Is it safe to assume to disable "clear flood" mode you take the foot off the gas pedal?

This would be a good idea to do after oil change? Considering all oil is not where you want it to be? Does anyone do this after oil changes?

Yes, it's a great way of getting the oil to circulate before starting the motor after winter storage, a rebuild or an oil change.
Incidentally, "clear flood mode" is standard OBD-2 protocol so it should work on all OBD2 vehicles (1996+)regardless of make or model ;)

Good idea, I store mine in a garage that isn't heated. And through the winter I often will start my toys to get the fluids moving around. I'll be sure to try this out. :patriot:

Mechanical actually recommended doing this years ago to me, ever since that, when I give any of my cars or trucks a oil change, right after the change they get cranked over this way first a few times to get the oil moved around.
