Anyone have one of these in their built motor? I'm going to be building up a N/A motor that will replace my current set up. I thought someone recommended the Callies crankshaft to me a while back in a brief conversation. I was hoping to get some more feed back from others that might be using. Please post if you are happy with it or not. Thanks!

P.S. Also give some details of your motor and what sort of power you putting to ground and components part of the build. Thanks again!

Quick and effective way to make a 402 out of your 6.0L. Very strong crank and will take over 1000 HP. Not much more to say. Awesome choice.

If you have an LS3 you will get 414 CID instead. :D

I have read many Callies product testimonials over the years and they all indicated their crankshafts are damned good. VERY strong and can take a great deal of punishment. However, the stock cast crankshaft in your engine is no wimp either, and it can also take a great deal of abuse. I would imagine it would withstand 450-500 horsepower. How much horsepower are you shooting for in your upcoming rebuild?

I have a Callies crank in my 07 ls2. Basically the motor is now a forged 402. Callies crank, Manley pistons, connecting rods, etc...I have a higher lift, no overlap camshaft, dual springs (.650 lift), AFR 225 heads, AR headers, etc, etc...I have had no problems at all with it. It puts down around 460-470rwhp, and 460-470 rwtq. I wasnt concerned so much with the hp, as mch as the torque. I wanted a lot of low end torque and i got it! It has a conservative tune for the street, and i still get 28mpg highway...

Dynamic, that is all you need to change to get to 402? What all internals would be needed to turn 6.0L into 402? Or what parts would need to be changed. Thanks

LME uses the Callies Compstar cranks in many of our build. It is a great crank for the money. We do have our crank grinder indel all of our cranks. We find that some of the cranks benefit from having the mains trued up. This produces a crank that is true from the post to the rear seal.

LME has made 2000 HP reliably with the Compstar 4.0" x 2.100" journal crank in turbo applications. So it will hold pretty much what ever you can throw at it. They also balance up very nice.

You do your homework, you will find most good engine builders are using Callies crankshafts for their engine builds. Great company and product.
