I think he's got a Crossfire, but the goal would be similar to the "Base Porting" of the TPI.

I don't know where that link is, but:

If you follow your inlet air ducting in your hood, from the air cleaner ports down to the inlet, you'll notice openings in the hood ducting, in front of and above the radiator (in the hood ducting).

This is right above the radiator "air box" when the hood is in the closed position, basically sucking underhood air. Cut holes in the radiator "air box" and then make an oval of weather stripping around the holes so when the hood is shut, it seals and draws air from inside the radiator "air box", ahead of the radiator. There is your home-made, CAI.

ya i do have the crossfire

That is why you should always mention in your 1st post WHAT car / trans you are talking about!
That way you have a better chance of getting the info you want.

It is expected practice on Forums to state year and trans if looking for help .Not up to me to check your details if you don't have the courtesy to post them up with the question.

This pic shows you the intake problem with the CFI.

Port on the left has been ported, the right is not ported and orginal from the factory. I'd say theres a bit of a restriction.
Also follow tom's guidelines for the cold air mod. its really very simple and cheap to do.

Up to you;
if you want accurate information about a problem it is in your best interests to give as much information about your car and it's mods instead of leaving people guessing.
Just stating something like " my car won't start" does leave people much to go on

A good vette owner should be able to tell what year a vette is just by looking at it.:thumbsup:

If I had the car in front of me I could ; if I saw your RPO label I could tell you what options you have without refering to the Black book.
But with Internet posters , I 'm not a mind reader!
