Hey guys need a little help before i dive into the problem. My 98 Vert makes a horrible noise when i turn on my blower for both hot and cold. Air bairly comes out of vents. It has done this for a while but i was able to get around it by turning fan all the way up for about a min then turn it off then back on and the sound went away and air was blowing good. But now it happens all the time and wont stop. I think it could be the bearings in blower motor or the flap doors resting on the fan aka broken door flap. anybody have any ideas. and if you have fixed this before can anyone give me ideas or hints on how to fix it. I"d say the blower motor is going bad.

My 95 Silverado had a slight squeal at low fan speed settings, that went away at the full tilt setting.
Took pulling it to figure out it was the motor.
Sound like something similar might be going on...

I need to get a good set of service manuals. I dont even know if i should attempt this one or not? :duel: I also need to replace my oil pressure sensor as well.... and yeah i think that one is for sure gonna be a pain in the A**!

How did you do on this? I have a little noise from mine but I dont think its as loud as you were describing yours.
