Anyone want to put in their .02 worth on any pros or cons on if the ported throttle bodys are worth the upgrade. I know its no more than 5-7 HP at best but have heard of some getting worse fuel milage, some better, no better drivability, better drivability, mid range feels better, etc. and any recommendations on who to do the work? Mostly stock LS2 other than varraram, tune and LS7 exhaust. Thanks.

If you search for ported thottle bodies, you will find quite a bit of info in this section.

I offer a CNC porting for these with consistent results.

Pictures of the finished product are available in the Vette Parts tab above.

Feel free to contact me for more info.

Mine was done, I was told I would gain a few horse power, I can say I didn't notice any drop in MPG. If there was HP gains I would say a dyno would pick this up. I have a few friends who swear by porting out your throttle body, so I figured why not!

Ported TB = Better Throttle response, Faster Revs, 5+ HP (depending on AP), MORE Air...

I always like this mod!!! I say "Do it".

Hope that helps

I did it along with a ported intake manifold... The LS1 / LS6 throttle body was 76mm in diameter and that didn't pose a problem for builds making hundreds more HP than a bolt ons LS2, so I don't see where power gains are going to be had from porting a 92mm TB on a 400hp engine... I think the intake manifold is a better place to start porting...
Anyways when I did both on my car I didn't notice much of a difference; I wish I had done a before and after dyno to see if there was any... ON BOOST my car seems to make a little more than most running the same setup so maybe there's something to be gained there..
