Heres a question for you hard core drag racers. Is there a graph or anything that will show (ball park) how much quicker a car will be by adding more power?

- Adding 50HP how much quicker quarter mile time?
- Adding 100HP how much quicker quarter mile time?

I understand there are alot of variables involved in this, just looking for a "ball park" please.

The closest i can give you will be this:
50hp = 1/4 - 1/2 second + or -
100hp = 3/4 - 1 second + or -

This is just an est. So this can be a little give and take on times. With some of the race cars i race and build for other people, if you hit an engine with a 100-125hp shot of nitrous, we can drop almost a full second off 1/4 mile times. If the track is good and the air is just right we have seen a little over 1 full sec off of a car with a 100hp shot. Same thing with a supercharged engine or natural.

Agreed there is too much that goes into consideration for there even to be an approximate number... add some power and find out! :)

Actually, weather and DA etc. plays a huge part on ET. For example, from a 85 degree day to a 45 degree day picked me up .40seconds with no other changes to the car.
