hey folks, this is my first post on this site and yes I am going to ask for some help! I am looking for a 1984 two-tone bronze Corvette with brown clothe interior. It is VIN#1G1AY0787E5143992. This was my wife's car, and was given to her by her father who died last year...I would like to track it down and purchase it for her. Last time it was registered was in Texas in 2001. any help or ideas someone may have would be GREATLY appreciated!

Can you send any picture? There is a two tone corvette not sure of the color in S.Ga. The car is in the brownish /darker color with a spoiler on it. I think the car has a Fl tag on it.I can find the car and take a pic with my phone. Might be it.

run a car fax on the vin # that will give you the state the car is taged in.

I have done an AutoCheck and a Carfax. Both of them lead me to the last time it was registered (2001 McKinney, TX.). I contacted the owner and talked to his daughter...the owner died three years ago and the daughter has no idea where the car went! Thanks for your input tho!

You may want to post on http://www.c4vetteregistry.com/ as well. Good luck on the search. Try a carfax search as well. I t can give you the state it was registered in last/when it was last renewed.

I just bought an 84 vette the color your looking for Registered in Tx.Its probably a real long shot but I will check the Vin#--Wayne
