I'm finally getting off my butt and doing something with my motor on a true performance side, These FAST intakes are supposed to be better than the stock, but are they really worth it? Your input would be appreciated. I'm planning to but different heads, headers and might go with a different exhaust also.

I have one sitting in a box for my 2003 that I'm rebuilding. From all the research I have done its good for 10 HP or so?

The FAST intake is available in 2 versions, the 78MM and the 90 MM

The 90 MM version coupled with a 90MM throttle body is a great improvement over LS1/LS6 intakes, especially on larger cubic inch engines.

Spending money on this manifold is a tough one. It will yield great gains but only if the combination is asking for it. Big motors, sure, small motors are alittle tougher. If you already have an LS6 you can go far with it, but if you are upgrading from an LS1, then just go straight to the Fast for money sake.

A ported Fast 90 match up with a ported LS2 throttle body can yield 20-25hp in a head and cam car. I would at least have the heads and cam with the Fast otherwise it won't be worth it. In the next few months, Weiand is supposed to be coming out with their new composite manifold which is supposed to be as good or beter than the Fast, and cheaper!

FAST 90/90 would not be in my top 3 go fast mods for someone with a stock car. Personally you will get more out of gears than the FAST.

BTW - my new LS7 setup will have a FAST 90/90 because I felt at that level it will add significant HP.

So what I'm getting is a all or nothing opinion? Go with head, cam, ported throttle body with the Fast 90? Damn, how much HP could I be at then? :)

So if I have heads, headers, cam, and a full exhaust would a ported fat 90/90 intake and TB be worth it?

That would be the best if you're keeping your car NA. It's not cheap though. With a good port job and retune, you should see 20-25rwhp.

Your saying with all those other parts with the ported fast= 20-25rwhp from the fast 90??? Sorry just want to clarify.

personally I would go with a nice cold air intake. BPP makes a great kit. Second I would def go with a catback exhaust. You'll improve the sound and performance of your car. You can even then move on to headers, and a tun which will be a nice compliment. An intake on a stock car really won't do much for your setup, and you would def be better off starting with a cold air intake and exhaust.
