The C5 sits overall lower than the C4 did however the C4 had the deep door sills that you had to pick your feet way up over.

i find the c5 is tougher just cuz if how low it is!!with the c4 i usually sit on the big door sill and just turn..although my 76 year old uncle had some problems getting in my c4 with that bump!!in the c5 he just kinda fell in

C5 is a breeze to enter and exit with the memory seat position. When you take the ign key out the seat slides back for easy exit and then when you get back in later it slides back forward to the driving position when you put your key back in.:wheelchair:

When I was shopping last year, the in-out ease of the C5 instantly sold me. I'm not a huge guy (6', 230) but I found the C4 to be a lot more work with less interior space.

And then there was the issue of the C5 having a more advanced design / balance.

Same here as above, however I liked how the sill on the C4 was bigger.

I have owned one of each. The C5's are much easier to get in and out of. But then again, who cares, it is a Vette.

I've owned four C4's and now a C5, the C5 by far is easier to get in and out of, and more comfortable too.

One of the selling points of the C5, when they first came out, was the ease at which a person could enter and exit. The memory seat was a nice addition also, but, like posted before, who cares it's a Vette

I am over 6' tall and 250 pounds...before I bought the C5 I drove a C4 but had trouble with the high door sill. I like the lines of a C4, not as much as the C5, but it still is a great looking car.

My C5 Coupe has the easy entry and the trick for tall people is to sit, then swivel your legs in and reverse that to get out. With the top off and window down I may try the running Dukes of Hazzard leap into the car sometime!

I believe that is the Magnum PI move. Dukes had a roof. Magnums leap was into the 308 with targa roof removed.

Same here except only two C4s and now two C5s The C4 was a little bit of a pain in my opinion, although it was a cool car at the time

I was driving a C4 and also a passenger in a C4 a few weeks ago. I think the C5 is much easier to get in and out of because of the deep sills on the C4. And if you're on the passenger side in a C4 there's no room for your feet at all! The carpeting on the floor is only about 10" wide! You have to stagger your feet because they won't fit side-by-side!
But... that '96 LT4 I was driving is really sweet. Nice machine!

That was my big issue was the space for your feet!
