Yesterday after driving the Vette for a little while the check engine light popped up and then I parked it in my garage. I went and cranked it up this morning and voila! the check engine is gone. ??? I won't worry too much about it until it comes back, well I hope it never comes back but I have a feeling something is around the corner.

Mine had been doing that for over a year. It was just a faulty EGR valve. Which isn't that big of a deal. Guess I got it right cause it's been off since. If you can ever catch it on long enough go to autozone or oreilly's like I did.
Hope nothin bad happens!

A check engine light that stays on (a "hard code") means something is wrong somewhere and is staying wrong. But a momentary check engine light (a 'soft code") means the problem went away by itself. Check your codes and see if anything got stored in the computer's memory.
