Alright I tired this in the audio area but got no response. I'm looking to put in an after market CD player. I've done these installs before but on much older vehicles. I've also heard its not like doing a normal car because a Vette is wired differently? My car has a tape deck with a disc changer (stock). Is this normal to replace or are there some differences? To my understanding it is still pretty much straight forward. What deck are you going to put in?

No ideas on the deck yet. Probably a Pioneer or something along those lines. I just didn't want to get into it and find out there is some unique wiring or something going on. In the future I will probably upgrade the speakers but that will be about the extent of the work I do on it in terms of audio. I like having the hatch for regular use. Plus the sound of the engine and exhaust is even better. It would just be nice to have a working CD player for long trips.

I think that now all wire adapters are availible when a few years back mainly for the C6's bumping up to a double din they had to get a special hook up. You will be fine though and I agree with you just having a nice CD player for trips. That new Pioneer Z3 is sweet!
