I have called a couple shops on tuning a C5, and wanted to compare to what others have paid? What did you pay and what did it include? Thanks so much

what type of tune are they doing?

ECS charges $249 for a street tune and $399 for street and dyno tune.

I got a great deal on my Dynotuning. I was at Funfest 2007. The dyno guys misquoted the price. To make a long story short I paid $25.00 instead of $400.00. They did a great job too. It was great! Power I could instantly feel. Not like that Hypertech crap!

I paid $350 for a Dynotune with three pulls and several printouts.

Well it's pretty much a MUST DO after installing Headers and HighFlow CATs, especially if you're keeping the rear O2 sensors as you'll throw codes from the rear O2s everytime...

HP wise the tune alone netted a gain of exactly 10 RWHP which is just about what you should see... BUT he also adjusted my radiator fans, bumped up my rev limiter, tweaked various air/fuel parameters ect... SO overall the car is working ALOT better! With an Auto the tranny can be geatly improved as well!

When you get one, I recommend the day before to;
1. Clean your MAF w/MAF Cleaner
2. Check your codes and clear em. If there are any "C" codes get em fixed!

tstar - I would leave the codes as your tuner may want to know that information! However I agree with you on the "C" (chassis) codes. :D

LC -We are running a special right now (I know you're in Raleigh, NC :D) in case you are interested in a trip to So Cal. We might charge a bit more than some but we take our time and do it all. Much more than a 3 run pull and off you go.

I would say that right around 400 dollars would be a good price. Maybe a little more depending on what was done.:cheers:

"Current" codes yeah... The main reason is that if anything is "broke" with the car to get it fixed before wasting the Tuner's time...

Well I did mention to clear em a day before, assuming it would be driven prior to showing up for the tune and any relevent codes would have set for the Tuner. But good catch, I really should have elaborated on that!!!!! I owe you a beer... You owe me a tune for not knowing your chassis from a current! :lol:

I am going to plug you though, you guys do it right! Take your time and get it perfect. Money well spent! :cheers:
