Went out for a short drive this evening with the top down and the wife in the other seat. About a mile from the house she said "I'm glad you got this car, you're sure having fun with it and so am I."

HaHa! Mine must be another exception to the rule. She ENCOURAGED me to buy mine....well it was actually a trade...but she pointed out that ever since she had met me 20+ years ago, all I ever talked about was "One day, when I get my Vette". I got the entire "fate" speech and "you know you want it so do it" speech. Now that we have it she wants to go for a spin everyday!:beerbang:
She won't drive it though, I can't figure out if she's intimidated by it or if she's scared to death of hurting "my car". Either way...it's still mine and WE enjoy it tremendously!:burnout:

LOL! We bought a 2008 Limited Expedition in February '08. I wanted a BMW 5 Series. She wanted the Expy. You see what we got...so I think she was thinking that I'd forget about the Beamer if I had a Vette....it worked - LOL!

My g/f was po'd when I brought mine home. She doesn't know or give a ***** about cars anyway. My Vette is probably faster in reverse than her tiny Kia Spectra is altogether. Well, probably not, but, I'd ditch her before I ditched my Vette.

It sounds as though some of you did not choose well when it came time to select a wife. Maybe you were thinking with the head that is not on your shoulders.
My wife came to me one day and basically it went like this. I have saved $ XXXX. I said that is enough to buy a Pantera. She said "Then do it". Then a year later she said "I want a two seater sports car convertible". So I found the BMW M roadster for her. Then when I decided I wanted a C4 she said "We have the money. Go buy one". So I did.
We have been married 41 years now and still going great.

Mine was against me buying mine a week ago.
I told her I was going to fix everything then sell it and make a few bucks, she told me no your not your gona keep that car,she loves going for rides with the top off.
She say's the car is better than a woman in my midlife crisis

This is my story too. My wife encouraged me to buy the Z06, and enjoys it WITH me. My wife will drive it though on occasion, but rarely. It is OUR car just like everything else we own. I've never understood why some guys take "ownership" of their Vettes over their wives.

I agree with Mr. Hyde I have a 81 & 89 my wife tells me the 89 is better to drive but the 81 is more fun. I trust her 100% to make the right decisions about driving and if something would happen the car can be fixed. My wife is everything to me so I can live with a car that isn't just right. 35 years of bless and many more to come.

You my friend are a different kind of character, you want to figure out how to take your wife to a Brothel with you to watch you with a different woman, you want and admit to trying your best to get all the "squirrel" you can with your Vette, and you have your own wife's store bought breasts for all the world to see on your Avatar. Does your wife share your same beliefs? Would you want to hear her say that she wants to borrow the Vette so she can try her best to get all the d*ck she can?
Would you be happy going to a place to watch your wife get laid by someone else?
I'm not trying to start a p*ssing constest here, and I'm sure you're a great guy in person, but for the life of me I can't figure you out!

I think that for the most part most wives are understanding about the connection between a Vette and it's owner.
