B0338 Inside Air Temperature Sensor Open. Check to make sure your cabin temp sensor is plugged in, it's behind that tiny grill to the left of the ignition key.

P0171 Fuel Trim System Lean Bank 1. Not sure why this leaned out, do you have any other codes?

It's possible your sensor is bad and needs replaced.

How do I know what the sensor even looks like? I remove the cover, and I do not see anything

You'll have to remove the center console surround, after you get it out you'll have a much better idea of what's going on. Here's a pic of the sensor in my hand;

My code says that it's open, why would it be open?

Thanks for the pic, what where you doing to your vette by the way?

That circuit uses a nominal 5 volt signal for 75 degrees in the cabin. When the inside air temperature is cold, the thermistor resistance is high; therefore, the HVAC Control Assembly will receive a high signal voltage input. If the inside air temperature is hot, the thermistor resistance is low, the HVAC Control Assembly will receive a low signal voltage input. This signal is an input that tells the HVAC Control Assembly how much cooling or heating will be required for the passenger compartment.

B0338 is basically saying that the sensor is not changing resistance at all and the circuit is acting like it is not connected or is "open". If you want the test procedures PM me your EMail address.

I was pulling my IPC out to change all the Dimmer/HUD and DIC buttons lighting to Red... fun fun fun.
