Sand blasting is always a good start for the metal pieces the plastic pieces you will need to get a good chemical cleaner that won't eat the plastic. Prime everything really good, and most likely use a high temp paint.

I would recomend that you take the parts that you want to paint off the engine and clean them very good. This way you won't get overspray on the other parts that you don't want painted. If you are thinking of doing the whole engine, you might want to take it to a specialty shop!:cheers:
