Do you use a different wash mitten for top of the car from bottom and even the wheels?

I change my soap and water 2 times during the washing process and I also use 3 different color coded mittens for different parts of the car.

Reason for this post is my wifey decides to wash her car yesterday with the mitten that I use for top of the car. She has a bucket full of mittens she could have used but she decides to use mine that is used only for top part of the car, which obviously contains less dirt.

Now it's only a mitten, but the point I'm trying to make here with her is that I don't want to use that mitten any longer on my toys when it has been used to wash everything including her tires and wheels, exhaust and who knows what else!

Anyone want to shed some light on this? Thanks!

Having a seperate mitt/brush for wheels, undercarriage, engine bay, etc it a must! In doing this, I recommend the 2 bucket wash method with seperate wash mitt for the body. Also, you may want to consider looking at a grit guard for your bucket. We sell the buckets with the grit guards, so if you are in need...we got you covered!

I have 2 good mittens myself that touch paint and one very old one for wheels. Green is for the top and I have a orange mitten that is for the rear fascia of car where a lot of dirt seems to collect and bottom of car.
