I thought about getting some new shock absorbers, anyone have an opinion as to which ones are best? Or do they all pretty much compare close enough that you can't tell much difference from one to another? I don't race my car on a track or anything so I'm not worried about real high performance stuff, just what works well. I also don't have the Z51 or adjustable suspension, just stock '95 coupe. Not real sure if I even need new ones, just want to know which kind I'd want to look into.

If you only do everyday street driving, either Monroes or Gabriels are fine. I put a cheap set of Gabriels on my car about 175,000 miles ago and they're still holding up perfectly.

Is the color important ; it is to some here?

I've used just the Monroe's on both ours and they are fine. Its mostly street driving we do so they work.
But the color question is a good one...to some it is important.

I don't think color is a real big deal to me. I'm not picky just whatever works.
