: Is this stuff nescessary?
Lethal Tendencies 07-30-2009, 02:46 PM Do our C5 sports cars really need this stuff?
Tire pressure sensors
Hud
Dual climate control
heated mirrors
Memory functions
To me its just more costly stuff that will malfunction years down the road

I agree but, they are cool nonetheless. I really like the HUD and would replace it if it stopped working. I could do without the tire pressure sensors, dual climate, heated mirros and memory function.
BlazingC5 07-30-2009, 08:54 PM yes, the more toys the better...
still need to add heated seats, nav, adult movie hud, passenger seat ejector...
Mike Mercury 07-31-2009, 04:46 AM with run-flats, you do need the sensors.... as you can't detect a flat EM tire (until it's too late and you're going sideways).
z06joe 07-31-2009, 04:51 AM The hud is cool.... I don't have TPS cuz I have Z06. But the other stuff I could do with out...
deuceandddoll 07-31-2009, 04:53 AM My C5 doesn't have the HUD, so I don't I can't comment on that one. Living in Texas I don't need heated mirrors or seats, but since I keep run flats on my car the tire pressure sensors are worth having and replacing if necessary.
Wonder if you can order a new vette bone stock for higher performance like we did back in the 70s to have a sleeper...not that a Corvette would ever pass for a granny mobile! LOL
My first vette was a 1976 with 454 and 4-speed. It had A/C, radio, power windows and locks...and that was it for add-ons. Rough riding loud ride, but it beat everything in town.

Just cool creature comforts.
Lethal Tendencies 07-31-2009, 09:02 PM If my HUD died I am not sure if I would replace it.I like it ,but could live without it.
OBSESHON Mark 08-01-2009, 03:07 AM I love all the options.
The more the better. A car this nice should come loaded.:burnout:
z06wannab 08-01-2009, 06:43 AM Ilike them!
BAD-C5 08-01-2009, 06:50 AM I like them all....
bullitt4110 08-01-2009, 05:16 PM LOL, my car only has the dual climate control of all of those listed and I dont even hardly ever use that. And I dont miss any of those other things personally.

Well of the looks of your avatar you don't need those for what you are doing!:thumbsup3:
mattmoore02 08-03-2009, 05:47 AM I don't use any of them much but it's nice knowing that they are there!
Renegade 08-03-2009, 06:09 AM I like the options I have:
"Tire pressure sensors
Hud
Dual climate control
Memory functions"
but don't need the heated mirrors, or seats.
spincrushed 08-03-2009, 11:33 AM To me it is.
Dad's toy 08-04-2009, 03:13 AM With older eyes, the speedometer is a little blurry, the HUD is at just the right distance to read clearly + at highway speeds and radar it nice to have the speed posted on the windshield . Would definitely replace if it went bad
