has anyone swapped in a t56 in a mid-year? i have a 64 ,my main problem is what to do with the trans crossmember. any suggestions ?

The T-56 won't fit in a midyear without major surgery to the floorpan and a custom crossmember. The TKO-500 does fit (Keisler, Classic Chevy kits).

I haven't seen one; as I noted earlier, the T-56 won't fit in a C2; the smaller TKO-500 just BARELY fits.
