I am unable to delete the other thread so I will ask again.

My 76 Stingray has less than a thousand miles on the new engine. I drove it from Chicago when I bought it with no problems. Now It hs started leaking through the empty holes on both sides of the aluminum intake. These holes are for a different app I am assuming.

Is The oil coming through the gasket and just needs to be redone?
Also, radiatior fluid is barely leaking out of the thermostat?
I am sure it has something to do with the leak too. Not sure.
Can anyone give me some input? Thanks

I think Grimbo is right. Sounds like a gasket problem.
Maybe wrong gasket.:iagree:

It has to be the gasket and the lack of silicone. It did not leak when I first drove it home 650 miles!! Then it must have settled or broke in. Then it started leaking a little and gathering oil on the intake. Regarding the flat spot, are you referring to the thermostat housing? I am not a mechanic, so to speak. Sorry for the ignorance.

With Leaks Showing Up After So Few Miles,
I Would Try To Re-torque The Intake.
Same With The Thermo Housing.
