If you can find a wrecked Corvette of your same year model, that would be the best place to obtain the rest of the changeover parts you need.

I did this a couple of years ago. Luckily most everything you need is available from Corvette Central. Your biggest stumbling block will be the pedal assembly which I was lucky to get on ebay. All in all, you're looking at about $1000 in parts minus the trans/bell housing.

Guess I will bite the bullet and buy new parts, I had hoped to find some used parts to save a few bucks, I'm restoring the car now and it's a few months away from being on the road anyway so there is no real rush,

You will also need electrical changes, the wiring harness is different on the auto. I found a few things that I had to change, like the detent switch for the starter, it now moves to the clutch pedal. And dont bolt in the pedal assembly until you have the brake light switch attached, . Ive just completed the switchover...my personal email is rchristina@rhconst.com if you want to know more. Good luck, oh by the way, make sure you buy the steel clutch alignment tool. It is important to line up the clutch disk with the pilot bearing in the motor...

Thanks for the info. I just had major surgery so the project is on hold for a couple of months.

There is a member of both the corvetteform and vettemod that has everything needed to go from an auto to manual. His prices are better than any parts catalog. His username is Kustom8, I can get you his contact info. if you'd like.:patriot:

You may also want to consider a 5 speed conversion kit. Keisler transmissions provides a transmission with complete kit with everything necessary to convert your automatic to a manual including the pedal assembly:

I got a quote from them for converting my 4 speed to their 5 speed and the transmission and kit(including quite an assortment of pieces to make it a bolt in job) was $2295 -quite a bargain I thought. This transmission has a .67 overdrive which allows you to have great gearing for acceleration through the first four gears along with a low rpm cruise in 5th.

If anyone is interested I have an extra pedal assembly (restored), a nice Z-bar, fork and both rods...also have a nice aluminum factory bellhousing ...yes, pics are available. New here but a long time CF, VM, DC member....don`t hold the "CF" part against me

"IF" jwlewis passes on your parts, I'd be interested in talking with you about this conversion. I don't really want a 4 speed as I have an 700R4 in my '80 right now along with a 325 h.p 350 engine. I'd like a 5 or 6 speeder. Yea, I know that the price goes up with the more geared trans but I'm still interested.
