This suppose to be a good coolant additive to add to your coolant that prevents hot spots and helps maintains cooler coolant temps? Just wanted to see what others have experienced and whether you would recommend?

Where did you see this stuff? I personally have not heard of it but that sure does'nt mean that it is not good. I just stick to the regular old stuff and It has'nt let me down yet! (knock on wood!)

I added a botlle of Redline when I did a coolant change. It seems like it's working fine. There was one brand that I think was better(purple ice?? but I don't remeber, so don't take my word for it), but my shop didn't have any at the time.

Redline products are very good. I run them in my qace car. I do not use water wetter because I run a Dewitts radiator which keeps everything cool, but others I have talk to say it works.

I am not sure a general street car would need it though. Corvettes run on the hotter side and if you want cooler temps then switch to a 160 thermo and have your fans come on earlier. That would be a long term solution.

If you weren't running a Dewitts radiator and had a stock one with a 160 and fan set lower would there be benefits then?

Yup. Changing the stat alone though will do you no good you will need to get the fans on earlier. If you are planning on mods down the road then I would hold off, but if you are keeping your car somewhat stock and want some extra kick then change the stat and have a tune done. The ECS Mail order tune takes care of many different issues that come with the stock tune.

I do recommend though if you have a local tuner you trust to have them do a street tune because that would give you the most benefit. ECS does mail order tunes for people that have no one they can trust or live in areas that do not have tuners. It is a good tune dont get me wrong, but someone sitting with your car and doing a street tune will be better hands down.

I agree with ECS. Before I built my motor I ran 2 bottles of WaterWetter, 160stat, and had the fans come on sooner. Never ran over 187 degs. Now I run a Ron Davis radiator and Evens coolant. Big motor lots of boost and room to grow when it gets slow. 750RWHP.
