A/C on the car does not work. Code from dash (09) low freon. Filled Freon but compressor clutch does not engage. When you hot wire the clutch and disconnect the plug, do you just run the hot wiire to one prong of the plug, or do you have to run a hot to one and a ground to the other?
I want to see if the compressor is good. Thanks

You should be able to just jump the pressure switch to get power to the clutch if it is sensing a hi or lo freon charge. ps- You can't fill an AC system if the compressor is not working.

How did you charge your A/C if your clutch doesn't engage?

As the plug has two pins I would say you need 12V and a ground to pull clutch in

You make up a 4" long jumper wire with a 1/4" male spade terminal on each end. Then you plug each end of that jumper wire into your A/C plug. That sends current to your A/C clutch and energizes it. Simple as that............

If the A/C panel light is blinking, Before adding freon you must unhook the battery to clear the codes,Then Recharge the A/C and everything will work as new.
