In an e-mail to me last week, DCS told me they'll be posting some pictures sometime this week on their website. I would imagine they will be pictures of the Renegade's casting/tooling. Now being the 21st of the month, it shouldn't be very long until they begin releasing the manifolds. When they begin casting them, they're going to contact each of us on the pre-order list and let us know what our shipping cost will be. I think for the pricey $460 they charged us for these things, the least they could do is ship them to us for free. What do you think 85L98-84L83? Free shipping?

Sweet free shipping:thumbsup: . I was looking at the new crossram they have for the LSx engines. DCS should make one for use with 8 injectors and lose the lid and 2 TBI's, It would look alot like the new one for the LSx engines. Even the runners look the same. They are getting 700 HP out of the LSx version. But then again we are getting about 42 flywheel HP. Better than a kick in the a$$.:burnout: :thumbsup3:

As my '82 already runs great, another 42 flywheel horsepower on top of what I already have will suit me just fine. I never intended to have the fastest car on the block; just a fast car on the block. If I can run consistant high 5's on my 0-60's after installing the Renegade, I'll be happy.

I just got another e-mail from DCS about the upcoming Renegade pictures. They tell me the pictures will be well worth the wait. Actually, I'd rather have the manifold than the pictures.

According to the manufacturer they will be installing a renegade on an 84 vette and be testing it at RMR in Utah. It is painted flat black with some cool wheels, should put up some good numbers even at that high altitude.:patriot:

What is RMR? I never heard of it. It sounds like it might stand for Rocky Mountain Raceway or something like that. Am I right?

The Renegade should do well at the higher altitude as well; just not as well as it would do at a lower altitude.

Gees, I sure wish DCS would hurry up a bit more. I'm really anxious to get my Renegade installed.

Don't forget to take lots of pictures, you don't want to have to take it apart to post pictures later.:rockon6rk:

I don't own a camera. One of these days I might buy one, but as I've never really been into taking pictures, I'm in no big hurry. Gees, it's Friday already and there are STILL no new Renegade pictures posted on DCS's website yet. I wonder what's going on with those people. I wonder if they have gotten as far as pouring a few test castings yet.

Have you heard anything new?

What year vette are you installing your new Renegade on? Courious to see HP gains.

I'm putting a Renegade on my '82. But as my engine isn't stock, my results will be different from other's results. And as my present intake manifold has been "siamesed" (and breathes better at high rpm than a stock Crossfire), that will also affect my results. I found that siameseing a Crossfire allows it to breathe much better at high rpms, but it really kills the air flow on the bottom end. The new Renegade SHOULD perform much better than either a stock Crossfire, a ported Crossfire, or a siamesed Crossfire. I can't wait to get it on and test it.

With it's individual full sized 20% tapered runners, the Renegade should flow much better than anything else that has ever been offered (such as the X-Ram). With it installed, and with my Erson 214/214 roller cam, 1.6 roller rockers (giving me a .513" lift), my Dart 2.02"/1.60" heads, B&M Holeshot 2000 torque convertor, 700R4 transmission, and 3.54 gears, I'm hoping to run consistant high 5's on my 0-60's. I'll see how it comes out after it's installation.

I've screwed around with these goddamned Crossfire Injection intake manifolds for 20 years; trying everything possible to get some performance out of them. Once I put my Renegade on, I'm done. No more screwing around. It either works well or it doesn't. I'm expecting it WILL work well..............
