How easy was it to get the body off? I was considering doing the same. Not sure how.

It was not really that bad at all. Just take your time and make sure everything is unhooked. Took me about 6 hours alone to get body off. I had motor and trans out already. Good luck and any questions just ask.

I plan on lifting the body on my 77 to clean up the frame, underside , etc. and repaint. How did you lift the body and did you have to disassemble the front and rear bumpers or did it all come off together?

Anyone else have any suggestions to help me get my body lifted. I want to lift the body a few inches to paint and inspect the frame. I want to replace the body mounts too. Thought maybe I could, lift the whole car, support with jack stands, disconnect the brake lines, wiring, steering column, shore the body up and lower the frame back down so that I can paint the frame? Any help would be appreciated.
